Would like to get in touch with you to get your thoughts on the subject of Maratha POWs from Panipat on the Afghan – Pak border. Have been doing some research on the issue myself but reliable leads have been limited.
Would much appreciate a chat with you. Let me know.
I’ve been reading your posts at jihadwatch and some here, and was wondering how closely have you been following the recent occurances in Sindh and Balochistan. First off, would you support the peoples there if they agitated for independence, and should America and India support it? Do you believe the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan are capable of forming secualr, liberal democracies espousing universal human rights, including religous freeedom/protection and freedom of expression? There does seem to be a lot of evidence they could and that their freedom should be supported?
Lastly, what was the story behind the Hindu exodus from Pakkstian, particularly Sindh and Baloch? WHat I’ve heard from online sources, (including refugee testimonials), and othe rIndians is that the Paki “punjab” elite and the militant Mohajirs were the ones predomantly respnsible for the exiles. In fact, during the partition, Balochistan and Sindh were spared from the initial riots as Baloch and Sindhis attempted to band together and protect each other regardless of religion, hoping to continue their peaceful coexistence. But then, the arrival of Mohajirs, hardline muslims from India who couldn’t cooperate with Hindus and Pak Army ultimately made this impossible. In fact, Sindhis in Pakistan today are agitating for Hindus to be allowed to go back to Sindh, considering it a main greivance against the Pak gov’t. Tragically, once prosperous cities like Karachi are now completely overrun by Mohajirs and Pakis and have essentially become the Pompeii and Atlas of their times. Is this account accutate or no?
